Found in the mountains and forests of North America, Asia, and Europe, the brown bear covers the largest area of any bear in the world. Generally solitary animals, brown bears can be found in groups during feasting seasons such as the Alaskan Salmon run. 

Each of us comes into deer hunting at a different time in our lives and with different expectations for how our hunting will go. When I was a little kid, sitting in the deer blind with my dad, my expectation was that we would wait until we saw a buck with at least eight points before we would harvest a deer.

Black bears are one of the most sought-after big game in North America. They can be found across most of Canada and in about 40 states in the U.S.

Muleys would have to be up there in terms of hunting difficulty, so how do you hunt them successfully? Their use of harsh terrain, elevation, and highly attuned and acute senses, including large ears, means they're built for evasion.

The best time to hunt whitetail deer is during the rut in late October through mid-November, with dawn and dusk being the most productive windows every day of the season. Whitetail are crepuscular animals, meaning they are most active at twilight hours regardless of season.

Missed out on the draw? Sometimes, securing a tag can be one of the biggest hurdles to a hunt, especially during peak application times, when preparing for a hunt on a popular target species or in high-demand zones with intense competition for tags in draw hunts. 

Trophy mule deer are one of the most sought-after species of the North American big game. Unlike whitetail deer, mule deer are more commonly found in areas west of the Mississippi River and, more specifically, along the Rocky Mountain regions. 

Black-tailed deer can be found in the western parts of North America, from central California to coastal British Columbia and southern Alaska. Often referred to as the "Pacific Ghost," these creatures are extremely elusive, making harvesting one a true sportsman's dream. 

Deep in the thick coniferous forests across the Pacific Northwest lives the legendary black tail deer. They're skittish, highly adapted to the natural cover, and can slide in and out of the natural landscape with a nearly phantom-like nature.

Elk are one of the largest of the deer species. A mature bull may reach heights up to 9 feet tall, including their antlers. Cows and their calves live in herds, while bulls tend to live in bachelor groups or alone.
